AMERICAN MICRO-FUEL DEVICES
  • RIdemaxx Package
  • American Micro-Fuel Devices, a company developing proprietary fuel injection tuning for motorcycles, needed a complete corporate as well as product branding. The image is that of high-tech performance drawing from a minimalist approach seldom found in the motorcycle industry and AMFD's competitors. This extended into packaging, stationery, and marketing including magazine ads in American Iron.

GEAR ORGANICS
  • Gear Organics Content Spread
  • Men's grooming company, Gear Organics, needed a fresh look to their brand and catalogue. "A Pirate's Secret" delved into the idea of products that can clean up a pirate. The logo plays on an X formed of a razor and comb while product names like the Cutlass Shave or Aye Cream take on puns from pirate lingo. Maps in the catalogue put the products in the light that they are buried treasure to be discovered.

SEARS TRAVEL
  • Sears Travel booklet spread
  • Sears Travel requested a personalized booklet for travelers booking vacations. The concept plays off the idea of a photo album, or the snap shots taken during a trip. Variable imagery as well as variable content demanded that the design accommodate small or large changes in name length, number of travelers, and the actual content being written in.

about me

I completed studies at the Art Institute of Vancouver, Canada in print design in 2007 and have been designing since. I have great admiration for good t-shirt design, typography, and innovative concepts. I am accustomed to being asked to make things "Pop" and replace every typeface with Arial Narrow. I know that hating Comic Sans is cliché, but I do anyway. But mainly, I like design and working with fellow designers whenever possible.

On a more personal level, I grew up on the sunny Sunshine Coast. I've got blonde hair, blue eyes, and am not available for a date. I enjoy great movies, fun video games, and chasing my dogs. I've tried to grow a hockey beard only once. I've painted a scooter with cow print. I've always wanted to skydive. And I am OS ambidextrous.
